City without barriers
Travelling with a temporary or permanent physical disability does not have to be a barrier. That is the starting point of WeTravel2, a travel agency that compiles accessible city trips. Along with ‘City without Barriers’, WeTravel2, the City of Mechelen and local catering establishments have designed accessible visitor packages and packages of 2 or 3 nights. In addition to visits to tourist spots, there is room for activities such as cooking workshops and learning more about local crafts. If you are travelling alone, you can call on the services of a volunteer from the charity Kompaan.
